About Me
I am from Soquel, a small town in the bubble of Santa Cruz, a famous surfing community on the central coast of California. I grew up more in the mountains than on the beach so instead of surfing, I was riding dirt bikes, peddling mountain bikes, creating art, playing music, or building projects with my friends.
Santa Cruz not only shaped my hobbies but also inspired my future profession. At a young age, I was able to take a summer graphic design course at the local community college. I loved the class and it proved to be a pivotal point in my life. When I got home I told my mom I wanted to be a graphic designer though I didn’t have a clue of what the journey would be. In time I learned more about graphic design and more about the famous “Screaming Hand” that was created by Jim Phillips in Santa Cruz. The skateboard and surfing culture allowed me to grow up in and around art. With stickers everywhere and colorful clothing on every corner, I quickly became obsessed with design, art, and expression. Now I experiment with different forms of design so that I can help individuals and businesses express themselves through art.
